Girton Town Charity is registered with the Charity Commission with the primary purpose of helping Girton residents with the provision of almshouses, as well as funding a range of schemes and grants to assist both individuals and groups.

Currently seven Trustees are appointed: five by the Trustees themselves and two by Girton Parish Council. Please contact a Trustee or the GTC Office if you are interested in becoming a Trustee.

The Trustees meet approximately once a month and regular articles on the latest developments are included in Girton Parish News 

GTC's Annual Report and Accounts are published on the Charity Commission website

GTC also funds the William Collyn Community Centre, a purpose-designed facility in the heart of Girton with attractive and flexible space and available for use by individuals, Village groups and societies and outside organisations and companies. It is run on a day-to-day basis by a manager and three duty managers. Named after the charity’s founder, the Centre has excellent ‘green’ credentials and is open seven days a week.

The office for GTC is located at Dovehouse Court, staffed by an Office Manager and Administrator. Also based there is an on-site Maintenance Supervisor who has day-to-day responsibility for looking after GTC’s 28 almshouses.
